About Vajra Shakti Farnsworth
C.M.T., C.Y.T., Nutrition & Wellness Coach

 I am my yoga practice.

My practice is an odyssey that I rejoice in through the seasons of my life.

And although I am intensely dedicated to the practices, humor truly is the elixir that keeps me light enough to enjoy the process. I am constantly delving deeper into this paradox and I now meditate and practice Yoga daily.

I came up from the Earth as much as an American child can. I come from a family of scientific invention and comic tragedy. I was raised in Bolinas and I was the fifth child, the rebel, in a village rife with cultural revolution. Bolinas was also my Eden where I could run barefoot beneath eucalyptus trees, full of monarchs, most of the year. I lived among people committed to living from the local soil growing organic vegetables and dancing freely in the streets. It was the only way I knew.

By age six, I was attending group meditations [though at that time, I only went for the cookies!] and my divinely inspired path began.

The trials and tribulations of youth were the perfect catalysts to form the diamond-like facets of my consciousness. I spent 7 years in Maui where I learned the ways of the menehunes, the great mother and devoted my every moment to honoring my body, mind, spirit inwardly and out.

I studied yoga. I hitchhiked through Third World countries far and wide and saw what was magical and rich in these poor places. I have traveled to India several times to learn and absorb the teachings of great spiritual leaders. I brought what I could of that richness back to
my home, which is also my practice studio among the redwoods of Mill Valley.

I hope you visit me here soon to breathe in more of life, exhale more of your worries and find laughter in the intervening spaces.
